Edwards is perfect fit for new director’s role

FORMER England captain Charlotte Edwards believes the new role as Hampshire’s director of women’s cricket is tailor-made for her.
The 37-year-old has taken over the post from former Hampshire wicketkeeper Bobby Parks following his retirement after 45 years in the sport.
In doing so, Edwards becomes only the second woman to take on such a role after Surrey’s Ebony Rainford-Brent.
