If you had told a 15-yearold Kashif Ali that he’d be featuring at top of the Kent second XI order within five years – he wouldn’t have believed you for a moment.
And with good reason – Ali was only playing tape ball, a form of street cricket which uses a tennis ball wrapped in electrical tape, until 2013 before one invitation to a training session at Dunstable changed his life.
