Johnson takes on Lord’s role after Scott steps down

MIDDLESEX have put Richard Johnson in charge of the first-team for the rest of the County Championship season after head coach Richard Scott left the club after nine years in the role.
Scott had been in charge since 2009 – winning the Division Two title in 2011 and the County Championship in 2016.
But hopes of an immediate return to Division One are fading fast after a disappointing start to this season’s campaign with Scott’s last game in charge resulting in a 342-run thrashing by Kent.
