DURHAM batsman Graham Clark believes Cameron Bancroft deserves every chance to put the balltampering scandal behind him after the Australian signed for the county for 2019.
The 25-year-old admitted to using sandpaper on the ball while playing for his country against South Africa in March and was banned for nine months, along with Steve Smith and David Warner.
In the aftermath of the controversy, the opening batsman’s 2018 deal with Somerset was cancelled, but he will be available for Durham in all formats of the county game next year.
