Shane Bond is backing Joe Root and Jos Buttler to be Big Bash smashes this winter after the pair put pen to paper on deals with the Sydney Thunder.
The former Kiwi quick took over from Paddy Upton as the head coach of the Thunder back in March after a successful stint as the assistant coach of Brisbane Heat.
