SECOND chances are a rare commodity in sport but England seamer Kate Cross is thriving ahead of a mammoth Ashes summer having grasped hers with both hands.
Cross, a combative bowler who has worked hard on her lower-order hitting over a busy winter, suffers from anxiety and depression and took a break from cricket in 2016 when the weight of the illness became too much.
