AT TIMES cricket can test one’s allegiance like no other sport, as players for Buckden Cricket Club 2nd XI discovered a few weeks ago.
They, or at least the nine who turned up, will have spent the week looking forward to taking on local rivals Falcons CC in the Huntingdonshire County League. Then, come the day, wham, they are bowled out for a heady total of TWO, with none of them even getting off the mark – the runs coming from a wide and a bye.
