Players love hitting sixes and spectators delight in seeing them. You might have heard that there’s a new format in town which is almost solely geared to this. Sixes are the gift that keeps on giving.
We want more, we want bigger, higher, longer.
Some sixes just about clear the boundary rope, teasing the fielder underneath as they prowl the perimeter. Others fly into the crowd, fizzing past heads, sometimes being snaffled by a crowd-catcher, more often not spilled amid a colective groan.
