There are fast bowlers who generate pace from muscle or with a mad dash to the stumps and others who do it with silky co-ordination and a fast arm. Dale Steyn was in that second category – his action a slick, efficient, well-oiled unfurling of upper limbs that left some batsmen unsuspecting of the challenge that was about to unfold.
