He’s responding to The Cricket Paper asking if Lauren Hemp could have made it as a professional cricketer before focusing her attention on a career in football.
The Norfolk-born striker – many judges’ player of the tournament as England have ridden their luck to make it to the World Cup final against Spain – is as well-known a figure in cricket as football in East Anglia.
