SEPTEMBER is weird. Cricket season desperately tries to extend the summer warmth, entering its sixth month as nights start to creep in.
The month still clings to the last dregs of summer while being pulled against its will into the autumn.
People wander around defiantly jacket-less, shivering but refusing to carry one around. Schools re-open and take with them that prime-time viewing spot.
