What another extraordinary achievement by Jimmy Anderson: 20 years as a fast bowler in Test cricket. Back in 2002, having taken 50 wickets in his first season at Lancashire, Jimmy got picked for the England A tour to Australia that winter – and I was his roommate.
At some point we were called into a meeting room and Rod Marsh, then director of the ECB’s National Academy, told us that Jimmy had been called up to the England ODI squad who were currently in Australia.
