WHAT great fun it is watching cricket in April and May – especially the 50-over games!
As we sit there freezing – despite wearing four layers of clothing – it’s fascinating viewing to watch the twominute debates between overs, the all-too-regular bowling changes, the midover conferences and the constant need to get the 12th man on.
All this results in an innings being stretched out to almost four hours. The ‘cut-off time’ is ignored as the umpires simply extend it.
