BEN Stokes must be very confident of beating the charge of affray brought against him by the Crown Prosecution Service.
Not only did the all-rounder plead not guilty in the face of a damning video, he turned up to Bristol magistrates’ court looking every bit the hard nut who might be up for a scrap outside a Bristol nightclub. Sure, he wore a smart suit with a tie and had his top button done up, standard boxticking for those up before the beak. But he also sported the short-cropped hair of a skinhead, a group, rightly of wrongly, associated with violence.
