HEAD coach Jon Lewis described Durham’s performance as ’embarrassing’ but others used far stronger words after the visitors were bowled out twice in less than two sessions on the second day of a genuinely extraordinary match against Leicestershire.
A BBC Newcastle commentator went so far as to call some of the dismissals, as Durham were bowled out for the two lowest scores in their first-class history, as “cowardly”.
