IF TONY Cozier, the legendary Barbados broadcaster, was the distinctive voice of West Indies cricket, then Tony Becca, the understated, unassuming Jamaican journalist, was its softly-spoken soul.
While Cozier’s dulcet Bajan tones captivated radio and television audiences throughout the cricketing world, Becca’s writing was compulsive reading closer to home – in Jamaica, throughout the islands of the Caribbean and beyond to the United States and Canada, where he won awards for the promotion of cricket.
