In May 2015 a group of boffins in Canada using one of those brain measuring machines discovered that the human race had a shorter attention span than a goldfish. Whilst the fish required a full nine seconds to think: “I’ve totally forgotten that last swim around my bowl, maybe I’ll go round again……” homo sapiens only last eight before returning to their default position. Earplugs in, and head buried in a smart phone.
Given that four years have passed since then, we can probably take it that we’ve lost another couple of seconds...
