LEICESTERSHIRE have re-signed their former second XI batsman Nick Welch. Welch, 22, has been handed a two-year deal by the Foxes and is now committed to the club until the end of the 2022 season.
He played Second XI cricket for the club last season and has also turned out for Loughborough and Surrey’s second XI. Last year, he scored 404 runs in six games for Leicestershire’s seconds, thus earning him promotion to the first-class set-up.
