It can be difficult to find out about players when your opponents are not good enough to stretch you but that has not stopped Eoin Morgan, England’s T20 captain, from tinkering with his team in the current series against Sri Lanka.
England won the first two games in Cardiff, and thus the series, at a canter, which, while pleasing, was not the stress test Morgan wanted. With the World T20 taking place this autumn, either in India or the United Arab Emirates depending on the Covid situation, he wants to fine tune his options, particularly among the bowlers.
