THE MCC has announced 11 grassroots heroes that have positively impacted the growth of cricket in communities around the country. The selected winners will be treated to a day at the England versus Ireland Test match at Lord’s in the President’s Suite, hosted by MCC president Stephen Fry. Amongst the winners are Lachlan Smith, who founded Birmingham Unicorns, an LGBTQ+ cricket club and Sheena Racaldin of Chevening Amblers Cricket Club, who saved her club from closure following the pandemic.
