England have just two more T20 matches against Pakistan, following Saturday’s pipe-opener at Edgbaston, before they mount their defence of the T20 World Cup they won two years ago. It doesn’t seem enough to discover one’s mojo but in a format where every ball is loaded with meaning even the most extensive preparation can be undone in the blink of an eye.
