Great unifiers in team sports can be worth their weight in trophies, which is why supporters of the West Indies cricket team under the captaincy of Rovman Powell are beginning to believe once more that some major silverware could be headed their way.
Powell, a 30-year-old all-rounder from Jamaica, has steered his team to the Super Eight stage of the World T20 with three wins on the bounce. More than that, he seems to have pulled together the disparate strands from within his own squad as well as the gripes and petty rivalries of an entire region.
