Hitting a six to seal victory wasn’t a bad way for Harry Brook to begin life as a captain of Northern Superchargers last week.
There has been a bit of talk about Brook as a future England leader since he was announced as the Superchargers’ new skipper, coupled with the previous uncertainty of Jos Buttler’s position as the white-ball captain.
Given his extraordinary talent, which should mean he is a fixture in the side for many years to come, Brook appears to be the outstanding candidate as heir to the throne.
