IT is 10am on September 4, 1993 and I am shouting at cricket fans as they shuffle into Lord’s. To a man, woman and child, they ignore me.
Despite my barrow boy banter, cricket fanzines were a tough sell back then. And, though Johnny Miller 96 Not Out had become more than badly Xeroxed nonsense held together by a solitary staple, the Sussex and Warwickshire fans en route to the NatWest Trophy Final were not yet ready to roll up a copy and shove it in their back pocket for half-time like their football brethren.
