But you could tell something was up from the look on Liam Livingstone’s face – the look of “I’m not-sure-you-meant-to-do-that” being directed at Josh Hazlewood who’d just forced Livingstone to chop the ball onto his stumps during England’s first T20I against Australia.
Except that Hazlewood had meant it, not perhaps the mode of dismissal but certainly the double bluff which caused the false stroke and which he’d deliberately made sure Livingstone had a good view of before he release...
