Yorkshire batsman Gary Ballance says he is keen on improving further in this year’s County Championship.
The 30-year-old England man has been a key figure for Yorkshire in recent seasons in their top order line up.
He has been their leading run-scorer in each of their last three seasons, scoring 2,832 runs in 38 matches.
Ballance has struck 11 50s and as many ton-plus scores with the Zimbabwean-born left-hander impressing many onlookers.
Despite his superb recent form, Ballance is looking to improve his game even more heading into the summer.
“There’s a definite improvement to be had,” said the former captain. “I don’t just want to stand still.
“I’ve looked at what I did last year and will hopefully be able to replicate that and then add a few things here and there.
“I have to make sure there’s no complacency. Just because last year and the ones before went well, it doesn’t mean this one will.
“I certainly still have that hunger for runs.”
