SIMON Harmer’s successes with Essex are well documented. His 9-95 in the second innings against Middlesex in 2017, his seven wickets across the 2019 Blast semi-finals and final as captain in a title-winning campaign, and his average of 15.06 in last year’s triumphant Bob Willis Trophy.
