Anderson, Stokes and Rashid in England squad for second Test

James Anderson, Ben Stokes and Adil Rashid have been added to England’s squad for the second Test against Pakistan.

The ECB named a 14-man squad for the match at Old Trafford with Toby Roland-Jones dropping out. Steven Finn and Jake Ball both retain their places.

Anderson and Stokes missed the first Test, which Pakistan won by 75 runs, as they continued their recovery from injury. Both played for their counties.

Rashid is included with Old Trafford renowned for being of the country’s most receptive pitches to slow bowlers.

Full England squad for the second Test at Old Trafford (beginning Friday): Cook, Hales, Root, Vince, Ballance, Stokes, Bairstow, Moeen, Rashid, Woakes, Broad, Anderson, Finn, Ball
