Setback: James Anderson has been ruled out of the Ashes

JIMMY Anderson’s bid to prove his fitness for the remaining two Ashes Tests failed as he pulled up during Lancashire’s 2nd XI game with Durham.
Anderson has not featured for England since the first Test at Edgbaston when he left the field with a calf injury after bowling just four overs.
In a bid to prove his fitness, the Burnley Express turned out for the Lancashire second string in a match with Durham at Chester Boughton Hall.
