JAMIE Overton’s injury comeback continues apace as his quickfire half century helped Somerset to a dramatic victory in their Second XI Trophy match-up against Essex.
The paceman – who has not yet featured for Somerset this summer as he recovers from a side strain – took 1-26 with the ball, but it was with the bat where he made the difference.
After coming in with his side struggling on 57-5 in their chase of 200, his swashbuckling 68 off 48 brought them to within touching distance.
