Jet-powered Jacks’ record will be grounded like O’Shaughnessy’s

WILL JACKS almost re-wrote the batting record books last week. Almost, but not quite.
The Surrey master blaster smashed 100 off just 25 balls in a T10 friendly against Lancashire in Dubai.
But despite being statistically the fastest hundred in a match between two professional sides, his feat will not be officially recognised.
Steve O’Shaughnessy will know exactly how that feels.
It was the final day of the 1983 season when O’Shaughnessy, then a 22-year-old Lancashire allrounder, opened the batting with Graeme Fowler in the second innings against Leicestershire at Old Trafford.
