Comeback: James Anderson turned out for Lancashire 2nds

JIMMY Anderson could yet have a role to play in this year’s Ashes after coming through unscathed from his return to action for Lancashire’s second XI.
Anderson bowled nine overs and picked up two wickets in his first game back after aggravating a calf injury in the first Test against Australia at Edgbaston.
The 37-year-old only managed four overs against the old enemy earlier this month before limping off and was not fit in time for Lord’s or Headingley.
