DERBYSHIRE have suffered a big new injury blow after batsman Wayne Madsen was ruled out until early August.
Madsen suffered a hamstring injury against Lancashire on June 9.
He had initially been expected to be missing for up to six weeks but after a fresh scan is now facing at least eight weeks out.
Alex Hughes, who has a side strain, and Dustin Melton (heel) are long-term casualties.
Tom Wood, Ben Aitchison, Nick Potts, Sam Conners, Anuj Dal and Nils Priestley are also on the casualty list.
