SEAMER Kate Cross says increased competition among England’s fast bowling reserves can only be good for the national side.
Cross, 29, who played her fourth Test match at Bristol this week, admitted to some pre-match nerves over the challenge posed by young quicks Emily Arlott and Tash Farrant.
But she adds that the talent at England’s disposal is testament to the new professional regional set-up in women’s cricket and lent her voice to calls to introduce red ball cricket at domestic level.
