The 23-year-old all-rounder contributed 83 not out to an unbroken eighth-wicket stand of 203 with centurion Harry Swindells – Leicestershire’s highest ever for that wicket.
Their efforts ensured a first innings reply of 475-7 and an honourable draw from the rain-affected fixture with the Group Two leaders, who made 461-9 with five players making fifty – Devon Conway top scoring with 88.
