Bristol rain leaves Curran reward in vain

TOM CURRAN finally got the wickets his form warranted – even though it eventually counted for nothing.
The 26-year-old Surrey right-armer had, up to now in the series, played second fiddle to the left-arm swing of younger brother Sam.
But he finally got his day as his 4-35 helped bowl out Sri Lanka for just 166 in 41.1 overs in the third and final one-dayer in Bristol on Sunday, only for the rain to wash out hopes of producing a result with puddles forming on the outfield.
