RACHEL Priest smashed 76 from just 42 balls to set up Trent Rockets’ first victory of the women’s Hundred as they overcame London Spirit by 18 runs at Lord’s.
The Rockets’ wicketkeeper/batter dominated her partnership of 101 from 67 deliveries with opening partner Sammy-Jo Johnson, laying the groundwork for a total of 151-4 – the highest of the women’s tournament so far.
Johnson chipped in with 25, before a fine cameo from Nat Sciver (32 from just 16 balls) helped them reach a total that ultimately proved beyond Spirit.
