SOUTHERN Brave made it two wins from two as they chased Welsh Fire’s underpar 110 with ease to seal an eight-wicket victory in Cardiff on Tuesday.
Despite a reduced crowd of just over 3,000, the support for a newly-formed Welsh franchise made the figure feel like so much more.
But the local contingent of the crowd were soon silenced by a performance of pure quality from Indian opener Smriti Mandhana, who smashed a fine unbeaten 61 from just 39 balls to see the Brave home with 16 balls to spare.
