NATHAN Gilchrist was relieved to avoid further serious weather delays after Kent Spitfires beat Middlesex by 21 runs to break their One Day Cup duck.
After a rain-delayed start at Radlett, Kent were put into bat first and set a total of 217-9, helped by a 60 from Marcus O’Riordan and 59 from George Munsey.
