ANOTHER Saturday, another Joe Root masterclass. Yet unlike at Trent Bridge last week, England might actually go on to win this Test match.
Root’s majestic second-innings 109 in the series opener in Nottingham secured his team a draw. This time England’s captain went big, scoring an unbeaten 180 that ensured the hosts, all out for 391, had a lead of 27 by the end of the third day of this second Test.
The baton will now be handed over to England’s bowlers to put India under severe pressure in this match.
