WEST INDIES captain Kraigg Brathwaite admitted he made a big mistake in going for the second run which denied him an almost certain century in Kingston.
Brathwaite played a brilliant knock of 97 in a 96-run partnership with Jason Holder to help guide the West Indies to a first-innings lead over Pakistan.
But after just over six hours at the crease and a tenth Test century in his sights, Brathwaite attempted the take a second run which always looked tight and subsequently fell short.
