WORCESTER- SHIRE are to hold a fund raising dinner on October 8 to help pay for a memorial to New Road legend, Basil D’Oliveira.
Money raised at the dinner will go towards building a new pavilion at St Augustine Cricket Club in Cape Town where D’Oliveira began his career.
The pavilion will be named after D’Oliveira, who played for the county for 16 years between 1964 and 1980, winning 44 Test caps for England along the way.
