ENGLAND coach Chris Silverwood admitted his team rely too heavily on Joe Root after the captain’s fine second-innings century saved his side from defeat in this opening Test against India.
Root’s scores of 64 and 109 set up a potentially exciting finish in Nottingham before rain washed out the entire final day with India robbed of the opportunity of chasing down 209 after reaching the end of the fourth day on 52-1.
