SEPTEMBER is often a month for goodbyes and Dave Houghton will be saying farewell to Derbyshire at the end of the season.
Houghton announced he was stepping down after three years as head of cricket on day four of the game against Leicestershire when his team secured a fighting, high-scoring draw with Leicestershire at Derby.
It meant Derbyshire have failed to win any of their 11 County Championship games this summer and secured just five victories from 20 white-ball matches.
