SUSSEX coach Ian Salisbury defended prioritising T20 Finals Day after a team including five teenagers and two 20-year-olds was thrashed by an innings on a flat track at Leicestershire.
And this was despite the Foxes losing a day and an hour to the weather and being without their leading seam bowler on the final day.
Needing to bat 48 overs to save the game, the visitors, who were without Fynn Hudson-Prentice after the all-rounder broke a bone in his hand batting on day one, collapsed from 77-1 to 128-9, with Callum Parkinson and Ben Mike taking four wickets apiece.
