DANIEL Bell-Drummond’s brilliant 82 fired Kent Spitfires past Sussex Sharks by 21 runs to book their place in the T20 Blast final against Somerset last night.
The semi-final was a repeat of the one from 2007 which saw Kent get the better in a see-saw match with Sussex before they went on to beat Gloucestershire in the final.
This time around, the Sharks were thought to be the favourites with their dangerous bowling attack but Bell-Drummond was in fluent form throughout as Kent made 168-8 batting first.
And where earlier in the day, Hampshire had failed to defend...
