GLOUCESTERSHIRE’S Miles Hammond says the pitch could be key if this County Ground clash can force a result.
Hammond struck 50 as Gloucestershire closed in on Derbyshire 251-9 on 195-5 at the end of day three.
“The pitch did a little bit with the new ball in both innings, it’s more when the ball gets soft and with the sun on it today it flattened out a bit,” he said. It’s a bit two paced, there’s a bit of extra bounce at one end a couple kept a bit low as well.
