A classy half-century from Amy Jones helped Central Sparks beat Sunrisers by 23 runs at Chelmsford in the opening game of the 2023 Charlotte Edwards Cup. After opting to bowl first, Sunrisers got some early joy with Davina Perrin dismissed without scoring from the last ball of Kate Coppack’s opening over. Eve Jones then briefly threatened before she was bowled by Grace Scrivens for 17, followed soon after by the dismissals of Erin Burns and Ami Campbell.
