ANOTHER WEEK, another stress fracture. If ever evidence was required that fast bowling was back-breaking work, then the current crop of English quicks have provided it recent years.
The list of bowlers suffering from stress fractures – Jamie Overton is the latest to succumb after suffering discomfort in his lower back during Surrey’s recent Division One clash with his former county, Somerset – is as lengthy as Michael Holding’s run-up in his pomp.
