Not for the first time in the tournament, South Africa just hung on to record a victory, this time against Nepal by a single run in a fabulous and tense match.
Nepal ended up requiring two runs to win from the final delivery but Gulsan Jha was run out trying to steal a single to the wicket-keeper. Quinton de Kock’s throw at the stumps missed, but the ball deflected off Jha’s back to Heinrich Klaasen, who threw down the stumps at the non-striker’s end with the batter inches short and not bothering to dive.
